Nice bit of fun with a good visual flair

Nice work on this submission man, it was funny and some things caught my eye. Here are my thoughts:

-I really really loved the details you put in this. The camera work was exceptionally fluid and it added a lot to your presentation; this easily could have been done with a wider static view, but your motion added life and energy to this piece. I also liked that you had a similar camera effect on the title screen.

-The characters fight choreography and motions were striking and really gave it an artistic flair; they didn't just kick, fight and do special moves, the additions such as Ken's spinning rise felt in character and added personality.

-I have to say that I've always had a fond nostalgic memory of Guile's stage, I was happy to see you replicated it here.

-The classic sound effects were a good touch!

-The ending was unexpected and hilarious

Overall a great little clip! Great job, I can't think of anything that I didn't like about this piece man. I hope to see more of your work in the future.

Take care

Choreographing these animated battles is something of a passion of mine, I'm really glad you guys liked it and I especially appreciate this thoughtful critique.

And while I'm happy with this animation, the more I look at it the more I realize there is room for growth. Cleaner art, more filler punches, quicker pace, etc.

Thanks very much for the comment.

Filled to the brim with hilarity and nostalgia

This was a fantastic piece that made me sad when it ended. You perfectly captured the lovable odd and cheesy 80's cartoon feel; from the say no to drugs and other "after school special" spiel, the random Jem and the Hologram -like girl rocker who is always turning down another characters advances, to the animation style of old scoobey doo cartoons. Even the ending part with the logo gave me flashbacks. The animation was so fluid and the colors were nicely utilized. A well done piece, all of my points are going to you. (Here's hoping we'll see a sequel!)

New and it works well, but has few minor issues

Hey there dude,
I'm a big fan of your work and I wanted to give a review that wasn't just a "oh cool" post. I rather enjoyed this new piece from you.

Presentation:
-The opening was funny and very nicely animated. It had a great variety of colors and shading, it really looked fantastic when the grey haired guy was overlooking the valley. I think that background showed off your artistic strengths quite nicely.

-The post-intro sponsor clip was a nice touch and helped with the overall anime spoof feeling.

-The character designs were well done and did feel significantly anime-ish. I could actually see these being used in a real show.

-Nice touch with the ending of the episode graphic and outro

audio:
-The voices fit with what you were going for, though for some reason I really liked the balding old man's voice. It stood out more. Also Rina-chan's altered pitch worked for me; It was lower in pitch than her usual anime girl voice, nice. Also Galacticamaru's voice came out nice, who voiced him? You or Toma?

-Music: The music was nice but I wish there was more of it. The lack of music was a bit too noticeable on my end. A little loop or two for some of the exposition scenes would have helped the overall atmosphere.

Misc:
-While I did enjoy this a bunch, parts of it felt a little slow. I can't put my finger on it, but maybe if a little more was going on that would solve this. Or maybe it could have been split into a second episode?

-I found the overall jokes funny, but adding in some other anime tropes would have been added to variety.

-Seeing a bit more of the bad guy would have been nice, though I get you were going for the exposition-heavy episode style that's focused on the mainstays.

Overall I found this to be a entertaining piece, it wasn't perfect, but it was a very strong effort. I feel that you succeeded in what you were trying to do. A little more variety in the "episode" would work wonders and it would take this straight to 10 for me. If you spoof anime again, it would be funny to see you tackle other genres and add other gags, maybe even bizarre commercial breaks could work. It was nice seeing something different than the Awesome series. I do hope you continue with things like this. I'm not sure if you'll read this, but I hope this was helpful. Keep up the good stuff man.

Hilarious and fresh ideas drive home a solid win.

I really enjoyed this flash. The idea was fun and simple, but because of the way you presented it, it was a really entertaining winner. The choice of sound effects, visual gags and surprise interference are what made it memorable to me. This also was nicely animated and I enjoyed the custom sprites and drawings. Keep up the excellent work man! I hope to see more from you this year!

Huzzah for manly rage!

Hi there,
I'm a long time fan of your work. I really enjoyed this piece; the over the top violence and manly rage had me cracking up. I thought it was pretty good, but then the train part appeared and put a smile on my face; the sheer randomness of it all, in addition to the smoothness of the animation was great. In the joyful world I really enjoyed the shading and colors you used, it felt rather fresh. The part with you and TomaMoto was a nice way to close it up, the "back to the menu" thing was nicely presented. I hope you use it more in the future.

I didn't have a problem with anything, but I don't know why, it felt a little like something was missing. I expected a bit more to happen before Cole showed up.

Overall, a really entertaining piece. It's always nice to see you and TomaMoto together in something. Best of luck with the future man. :)

Complete mastery of your tools

This is the single most amazing sprite battle movie I have ever seen. You took things beyond their limits and utilized every single frame in unique and amazing ways. The choreography is simple unmatched by anything I've seen; the fighting is so fantastically quick, yet smooth and easy to follow. This has a fantastic presentation and it really shows off the hard work you've done for this piece. This is the level that sprite movies should try to aim for. Fantastic work and good luck with the future.

A simple yet beautiful piece.

I rather enjoyed this one, the animation for the objects was simply beautiful; every motion just looked smooth and well drawn. I also liked the subject matter of thinking differently and going against the norm. Keep up the good work, I hope to see more from you.
